‘For Rego’ Print Series

Four layer A4 lithographys done in two colourways. An experimental first round done of the forth layer being exposed for less time to get more textured and varied marks. Paper was another point of testing, both a thick cream card and a thinner white paper was used to print on due to lithographys ability to handle different paper weights.

These prints were designed in dedication to Rego after I visited the ‘Paula Rego Crivelli’s Garden’ exhibition at The National Gallery. I spent time there gathering research for my dissertation and noticed all the creatures that featured in her paintings. This print records some of my favorite charecters from various paintings and prints such as Crivelli’s Garden 1990-91, The Artist in her Studio 1993 and The Neverland 1992.
